Company B - India - Paid in Rupees.

that's how infy, wipro, tcs work...they get ppl here on H1 and get paid in dollars....once they go back to india, they get paid in rupees....u need h1 if ur in the US.

I140 pending under EB3, non premium category with receipt date 2/1/07.
I have worked for my current company for 6 years. Currently in the 7th year of H-1B with 1 year extension until March 08.
I want to change jobs due to dissatisfaction with current work, and also due to possible future restructuring within company.

How can I change companies without having to go back or live overseas for 1 year and start the process all over again?

Our company is brought by another company and countdown has started for our group. Looking at present market conditions I may have to use EAD. Will try to transfer H1 but just in case ...

If you will be getting any benefit in the volunteer position, such as experience in your profession, contacts, or other vocational benefits, I would not consider it appropriate H-4 activities. Even if you are not being paid a salary, you are getting a professional benefit and that is a reward.

I agree that an error in name order on an EAD is not likely to cause any major problems. However, You can apply for a replacement card by filing another I-765. If the error on the EAD is due to a USCIS mistake, no fee is required. However, if you caused the error by providing incorrect information, then you will have to pay the full $340 filing fee again.

Ajju, Mine & wife's applications for 485/EAD/AP reached Nebraska on 07/25/07 and I have receipt dates of 08/27/07. I'm yet to receive it from my lawyer. Found out the LIN #'s from the back of my encashed check. No finger print notice yet. I do not think every one who filed between 07/17/07 to 08/17/07 will have a receipt date of 07/17/07

Individuals who apply for a non-immigrant visa must be admissible to enter the United States. Inadmissible grounds to deny entry into the U.S. include, but not limited to the following:

Criminal record involving crimes of moral turpitude;
Possession of or trafficking in a controlled substance;
Trafficking persons;
Involved in money laundering;
Previously removed (deported) or previously overstayed a period of admission to the U.S.

If a non-immigrant visa holder subsequently becomes inadmissible and thus ineligible to enter the United States, depending on the inadmissibility ground, the visa holder may apply in advance of travel for a temporary waiver of inadmissibility. The waiver application is applied directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) prior to travel. Along with the signed Form I-192, Application for Advance Permission to Enter as Nonimmigrant, the applicant must submit the filing fee of $545, an official police record from country of nationality, proof of citizenship, and supporting documentation regarding the inadmissibility showing rehabilitation and character reformation. I have my I-140 approved from Company A(Future Emp) PD 2002 and 485 PENDING . Since Visa category is current.
My current company B is asking me to apply for I-485 PD 2005 and withdraw 485 from Company A. Since PD of
Company A is 2002. I dont want to loose the opportunity. Should I join Company A/ Stick with Compamy B.
Gurus Please advice..
