Can the front page print a retraction?...
AT&T CSRs don't receive any official information about ANY phone releases prior to general public... Let alone an iPhone release.
We weren't informed about the iPhone 4 being released until AFTER Apple's official press conference last year.
Even though I know this is a site for rumors... I've found this site to make sure the BS rumors were weeded out before it would become front-page news... But making an unsubstantiated statement by a random AT&T CSR front-page material is just plain bad journalism.
BTW: AT&T has been cracking down on customer's upgrade eligibility dates. If you downgrade/remove features/plans on your account odds are the date will be changed.
AT&T makes no promises that the date is constant and it can really change at any time...
The customer related to the article probably was suspended too many times for non-pay and that's the reason why the date was changed... Not because of some crazy conspiracy to correlate with the next iPhone release...

Wow, amazing how emotional people always get whenever I make a statement that could sound slightly anti-iPod... I know you love your iPod and all (I am very fond of mine myself), but over the last few years Apple has been focusing a dispropotional amount of energy into their cute little gadget which has massively boosted their profits. For those of us that don't salivate over all things iPod, I think this is too bad.
That is all.
I don't even *own* an iPod, but I still think you're off base and aren't seeing the big picture. Thank goodness the people that run Apple don't think like you. Apple is focusing on these gadgets (iPod, Airport/AirTunes, iTV, iPhone) that aren't even Mac-centric, because they are *immensely* adding to Apple's reputation for innovation, style, and ease-of-use. These are attributes that translate directly to marketing the Mac. The iPod halo effect has been slow in coming but it *is* real. And it's soon to be followed by the iTV and iPhone halo effect. I think Apple will continue to make gains in the home market with their MacBooks. And maybe the iTV will help the Mac Mini take off as a media center computer. iMacs and Mac/Book Pros are always going to be a tougher sell because of their higher cost. But it's Apple's success in the broader consumer market that is allowing it to also stay in the niche high-end computer market...

Any news in the latest build of Lion? When can I install it and be sure most works? :D
(on Snow Leopard)
1. Pay $99 to get into the Apple developer program.
2. Download and install in new partition.

I wonder if anyone has been waiting on getting a iPhone 4 because white hasn't been released yet. Well 10 months later here you go.
To answer your question: I have waited for the White iPhone 4, hoping that with the White iP4 release the antenna death grip issue would have been solved. I really hope I am right! Moreover, since adding a plastic protection cover to the Black iP4 solves the issue, probably the new White out-layer has been designed to improve the antenna (i really hope it's the case!)

This is long overdue. Hopefully it does not have the same connectivity issues as other products on the market such as those from Microsoft.

I would be really disappointed to see a metal backing like iPod Touch has. My previous iPods from the past are so jacked up on the backside with scratches and dents. I know I'm not alone with this.
I'd prefer if the iPhone retained a glass backing like on the iPhone 4; I think it's just so sexy. But if they were going to move to metal I'd prefer an iPad-style backing.

Nice. Another awesome media streaming feature that will be choked by AT&T.
There will probably will be a push to utilize WIFI. Unless, of course, you're one of the "chosen" to have their unlimited data plans grandfathered and won't be impacted. ;)
Also, you'll be able to multi-task on the ATT network...

Nice. I can hardly wait for the MacBook Air update coming next, along with (I assume) the Mac Mini and MacBook updates.
i'm not seeing them in the store
It just updated a few minutes ago. Interestingly, a 256GB SSD is a $500 option, while a 1TB HD + 256GB SSD is a $600 option (I didn't realize 1TB drives were so cheap). Anyway, it adds 2-3 weeks to the shipping time. Not that I care, since I'm not getting an iMac (but every new Mac refresh gets me closer to the one I'll actually get - MacBook Air Rev E).

I have got to admit with others! the battery drain is horrendous!!!!
I took my iPhone 3GS of charge at 9:30am, all apps are closed down, location services off and the battery has dropped down to 58% already within 5 hours!!
The phone has just been sat on my desk without being touched, no phone calls, texts or internet use what so ever!

Yes it was, as you were claiming to "know" that it was faked. Claiming that was offensive in the very least.
it's an observation, whether you like it or not. But anyway, my post didn't revolve around that point, you just blew out of proportion. Claiming i'm "bored" in your little rant is comical.

Winter on one side, spring on the other... Which side do I choose? I choose spring!!! :)
This is a nice effect. Can you share how you did this?
Good choice, and thank you for your comment! :)
I'm sure you can do it in Photoshop but I personally did it in Lightroom. I used the Graduated Filter tool which can be found up near the top right corner of the Lightroom interface and just dragged the saturation slider down to -100. I then applied the graduated filter vertically around the centre of the image at a slight angle (depending how your photo is and what parts you want in colour or b+w) and it desaturated half of the image whilst gradually allowing colour back in at the middle for the other half. I hope that makes sense, I'm glad you liked the photo :)

I'm a little confused. People want to play games on this?
Would not be my first choice for gaming (not that I play games, but I did do flight sims once)
Is there anything else I should be concerned about? Maybe external monitor resolution? Movies?....I don't think so.
Big problem for intensive video stuff perhaps? but then again; an Air?
Some of the things I've seen people propose for the MacBook Air are completely ridiculous. There are Pro offerings currently available that meet these requirements. Yet, somehow people have this idea that the MBA should have Pro capabilities, a multitude of connectivity options, and ultra efficiency in an ultraportable form factor.
Doesn't that seem to defeat the point of the system being named MacBook 'Air'?

Yes it is pretty intense. I broke today and bought one off craigslist. Bought white but am really debating about opening it vs. trying to get black, which was the original color i wanted.
I havn't seen the white in person so I can't be 100% sure but it looked like the white Macbook did to me, a yellowish white, didn't seem to go very well with the back and screen, and was quite distracting in videos vs the black.
That being said I know people who absolutely love both the Macbook and the new white iPad2
